Protection ConsortiumPiacenza PDO Cured Meats

There is a place where food masterpieces have always been made ...Coppa Piacentina PDO, Pancetta Piacentina PDO, Salame Piacentino PDO.

Identity

An institutional role serving product and territory

The Protection Consortium promotes, enhances and protects three recognised denominations, safeguarding their authenticity, prestige and recognisability.

Coppa Piacentina PDO, Pancetta Piacentina PDO and Salame Piacentino PDO

Territory

The province of Piacenza, between the Po river and the Apennines

There is a territory where cured meats of outstanding quality have always been produced: the province of Piacenza.

Several factors contribute to this result. The territory lies along the banks of the Po river on one side and is surrounded by the Apennines on the other.

These imposing natural elements create a unique microclimate that contributes in an exclusive way to the ageing of cured meats.
